Can you describe your career in a few lines?
After studying computer science, I started working at a company in Namur, Belgium. First as a tester and then a developer.Net. I then joined a service company specialising in Microsoft technologies in Brussels, which was also a Microsoft training centre. I joined a small Data team there and started giving training on the SQL Server platform. It was at this time that my passion for implementing Data solutions was born. Following the acquisition of this company by a BeLux group, I was transferred to the Luxembourg entity which needed profiles such as mine for a client. A few years later, I met Jonathan Samaras who worked for another service company where I ended up joining him before he founded MBR. I joined his company in 2015 when we were only a handful of consultants, first as team leader of the Microsoft team, before taking on the role of Operational Director that I have always held since we joined Talan in 2020.
What are your current missions?
As Operations Director, I manage the data teams. I am the team leaders and some senior consultants, I help with the recruitment, implementation and professionalisation of Data service centres, I participate in responses to Data calls for tenders in connection with Microsoft or other tools.
I am always on assignment daily, whether for my historical client or other clients. We have just won a very interesting call for tenders for a Luxembourg ministry on which I will act as an architect.
3 words to introduce Talan?
Conviviality & proximity: MBR was a family-oriented company where it was good to work and where it was natural to discuss any subject with anyone (consultant or manager). Although there are many more of us today, this spirit is still very much present at Talan.
Expertise: We constantly seek to develop our skills in order to best meet the needs of our customers.
Ambition: We want to become a key player in Luxembourg and we work on it every day, whether by developing our expertise or increasing our workforce.
At Talan, what is your playing field?
Everything related to Data with a preference for Microsoft platforms. More generally, I like the challenges that drive me out of my comfort zone, to push myself, to learn.
How do you manage to explore it?
During my assignments and my day-to-day work, but also thanks to the time I devote to technological monitoring.
A strong memory since you were at Talan?
Undoubtedly our city trip to Lisbon. A magnificent time, an organisation at its best, very good times all together. This allowed us to really discover ourselves outside the usual framework.
Which person inspires you the most?
I wouldn't say I'm inspired by someone in particular but I have a lot of respect for some people who have worked tirelessly to achieve their goals and dreams. Seeing them do it and sometimes, modestly, contributing to it is quite motivating.
